Statement on Muslims by Jim Horn

Statement on Muslims by Jim Horn
Jan. 11, 2011 Radio Broadcast

“I have no problem with Muslims who join the Army, and go and fight our enemies in support our Constitution-- who will fight and die in support of our Constitution.  But I have no love for Muslims who go into military bases [and] pull out their guns and scream Allahu Akbar and start killing their fellow soldiers.  I love Muslims who support the Constitution.  They are great wonderful people and there are a lot of them around.  They are not in the mosques; they are more secular than sectarian.  That is fine.  There are a lot of them here.  And I wish them well.  I have met some of them and know them.  They are great wonderful citizens as Americans.  But I am talking about the ones who are going into the mosques two or three times a week and teaching their young people that their mission is to hate me.  Just because I’m me, not because I am doing anything wrong.  Okay, that is the difference.  You have to understand that I understand that there are some great people in this country who are Muslims but who are not practicing Muslims.  That is the important thing that... some people] don’t seem to understand that if people like me object or do not support Islam, then we are against all Muslims.  No... I am against those who do not want my Constitution to prevail and to survive.  [People need] to understand th[is]... If you want to assimilate [good]... Let them become part of the greater America, which is the most wonderful place on Earth; the most free place on Earth....”  Mr. James E. Horn will speak to us Sunday, March 27th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  Go to http://www.rsfrwf.org

Urgent Action Needed!

Hello fellow Patriots,

Rather than simply calling, faxing or emailing our individual displeasure of having Republicans and Democrats inter mix during next week’s State of the Union address, it is better to snail-mail letters to the addresses below. Even better is to have MULTIPLE signatures on actual letters; doing so takes time but is HUGELY effective!

It's is good NOT to send letters to DC as they won't be seen in a timely manner. E-mails are too easily deleted.

So, please read over my brief letter below, then drive over at your soonest to my home to sign it. If any of you also have a similar letter you would like signed, please bring it here too. On the bench by the front door, will be a copy of my letter. This is extremely urgent. I will be mailing my letter (and your’s too) by this Friday.

Rather than giving out the address in  this mass email, please contact me directly: 858-756-4501.

----------
Dear Mr. Speaker:

Belated congratulations to you on your Speakership.  Thank you for holding the ObamaCare repeal vote. One big step at a time in restoring Liberty!

Next week during the annual State of the Union address, it is very important that tradition be maintained in the seating of Senators and Representatives.

The notion of having Members of Congress attending the January 25th function to sit in a bi-partisan or non-partisan manner is NOT wise.

This is not a small matter.  Republicans were elected to the 112th Congress with specific purposes: Most especially to follow the Constitution and cut spending, and to NOT acceed to the desires of the Democrats or of political correctness.

We, the voters of California and American Partiots have full-faith and trust in your leadership and that of Majority Leader Cantor, and the rest of the team.

For America,

California Court Strikes Down Ammunition Law

California Court Strikes Down Ammunition Law!

In an important victory for California gun owners, the Fresno Superior Court ruled today that California's new ammunition regulation law is unconstitutional, and blocked further enforcement.

The law, passed last year as AB 962, would have banned mail order ammunition sales and required all purchases of so called "handgun ammunition" to be registered.  In an unwritten ruling from the bench, Judge Jeffrey Hamilton found the law unconstitutionally vague on its face and issued an injunction against its enforcement. For now, at least, mail order ammunition sales to California residents can continue, and ammunition sales need not be registered under the law.

The lawsuit-funded by the National Rifle Association and the California Rifle and Pistol (CRPA) Foundation as part of a joint Legal Action Project-was prompted in part by the many objections and questions raised by confused police, ammunition purchasers, and sellers about what ammunition is covered by the new law.   Plaintiffs in the case include Tehama County Sheriff Clay Parker, the CRPA Foundation, Herb Bauer Sporting Goods, ammunition shipper Able's Ammo, collectible ammunition shipper RTG Sporting Collectibles, and individual Steven Stonecipher. Mendocino Sheriff Tom Allman also supported the lawsuit.

The ruling comes just days before the ban on mail order sales of so called "handgun ammunition" was set to take effect.  Many of the nation's largest mail-order and online ammunition retailers had already announced that they would soon end sales to California residents.   If the law had gone into effect, it would have required that "handgun ammunition" be stored out of the reach of customers, that ammunition vendors collect ammunition sales registration information and thumbprints from purchasers, and that vendors conduct transactions face to face for all deliveries and transfers of "handgun ammunition."

Fortunately, the court agreed that AB 962 is unconstitutionally vague on its face because it fails to provide sufficient legal notice of what ammunition cartridges are "principally for use in a handgun," and therefore regulated as "handgun ammunition" under AB 962.  The law gives no explanation of how to determine what cartridges are "principally for use in" handguns.

The state is likely to appeal this important victory, and anti-gun lawmakers in Sacramento will undoubtedly try again to destroy lawful ammunition sales in California.  Only the ongoing support and activism of California gun owners can block those efforts, so please watch your e-mail alerts and visit
www.nraila.org for updates on this critically important issue.
